COACHING NEWS
The PCAWA State Coaching Panel is pleased to launch the
new PCAWA Funded Coaching Program.
What is the PCAWA Funded Coaching Program?
PCAWA receive Healthway funding for an annual program of Instructional Clinics.
This new imitativeallows Clubs & Zones the opportunity to apply for
financial assistance to host a variety of Coaching Clinics.
These Coaching Clinics will be funded, in part, by the State Coaching Panel.
The amount allocated to a Club or Zone is set by the State Coaching Panel
and subject to funding available at the time of application.
How do Clubs & Zones apply?
To apply for this subsidy, Part A of the attached form must be completed and submitted
to the PCAWA State Coaching Panel.
Clinics must be held between 1st July 2012 and 30th June 2013.
Once approval is granted by the State Coaching Panel, Clubs and/or Zones
will be notified of the approved amount.
Once the Coaching Clinic has been conducted, Clubs and/or Zones must completed
the post clinic report, Part B, and forward to PCAWA. Once received
Clubs & Zones will be reimbursed the amount approved.
Don’t miss out. Get your applications in early!
The State Coaching Panel is seeking to help more coaches gain their
C Certificate examiners' ticket.
These Certificates are carried out at Club level and so Zone and State level
we are not aware of when these exams happen.
What we are aware of is that we have too few examiners for what is required to do.
To this end the requirements for being a C Examiner have been reviewed and now
would-be
examiners need only:
Ø produce 1 group of C candidates as opposed 3 groups
Ø draft a typical C exam paper and understudy a C examiner
Ø carry out a C examination under the mentorship of a C examiner
To make this happen we need Clubs to advise us (PCAWA) of when you will be
holding a C examination. If you have had trouble in the past in finding a C examiner
then we are trying in the longer term to solve that problem but we need your information,
so we can match C examinations with would-be examiners.
Please let us know so we can focus our effort.
