This picture was taken at the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Gilgerring Pony Club, This picture features the present Beverley and York PC riders with 2 of the founding members of the Gilgerring Pony Club Mrs Fleay and Mrs Barratt-Lennard. Gilgerring Pony Club become so large that it split a few years after starting and formed the 2 clubs Beverley and York. Recently riders from each club proudly rode from areas near their towns towards Gwambygine to met in the middle and celebrate Pony Club. It was a day to celebrate our history from where it all began to the success of both clubs still going strong today! I think this picture shows the true meaning of the pony club ethos the past, the present and the future, not only united by the passion of horse riding but also the love for your club, its history and its future.
